I work with Executives/Owners of SMEs and Managers of global organisations challenging them to develop their professional and personal effectiveness, raising their self-awareness to better understand their potential and to become successful and inspiring leaders.
My background in a nutshell…
Started my first business providing database solutions B2B, adapting to integrate with ever-changing internet and website technology, during which I learned every aspect of running a business.
Sixteen years later, with a planned exit strategy, I sold the business and moved to the Cayman Islands where, aside from playing tennis scuba, diving and sailing, I home-schooled my daughter and trained in business counselling for start-ups.
On returning to the UK I became a self-employed business consultant and coach, then employed as a commercial and legal manager for a US software company.
Became general manager of a small family-run retail business, responsible for the strategic growth of the business to the point of sale and exit by the owners, then sales & marketing director, UK and Ireland for the new owner, a global direct selling organisation, where I led a successful integration and subsequent growth of the UK business for 5 consecutive years through training, coaching and mentoring a salesforce of 450 independent advisors.
After leaving my last corporate role I taught English as a foreign language, living in Ethiopia and France, and helping in a local school for children with special educational needs. I then became a Trustee for a charity which supports adults and children with learning difficulties.
I now coach and mentor business owners/co-founders and their managers, helping them to develop personally and professionally, and to cope with the challenges of running a business.
Having been a business owner and board-level director for over 30 years in a wide range of industry sectors, I understand the complexities involved in masterminding dynamic business growth, planning for exit strategies, managing constant change and, across the board, the importance of team development.
My unique blend of experience means that I’m very adaptable and resourceful, which enables me to help individuals look at things from different perspectives. Combining my experience with humour, and learned skills, I can relate to individuals at any level, in any environment, and believe, with their commitment, by mobilising their creativity and resourcefulness, they can achieve their full potential, becoming more successful in their careers and ultimately living happier and more fulfilling lives.
