Why coaching?

I first experienced the real power of coaching in 2001. Until that time I had no real idea of what coaching entailed, and yet, six weeks later, having been challenged by my trusted Coach, I had made some major decisions which not only ultimately future-proofed my business, but also vastly improved my work/life balance.

From that first experience, I realised the importance of having someone else help to create the time and head-space necessary for me to be able to consider new options and to design, and put in place, the best possible life for myself.

It’s not always easy to find all the solutions you need for yourself or your business, or to balance your professional and personal life, and sometimes it helps to have a sounding board, someone to listen to you without judgement or agenda, so that you can make your own decisions, and be sure they’re right for you.

Why am I an independent Coach?

I have been coaching and mentoring for over 15 years in a variety of different environments, where I’ve had fantastically rewarding experiences. After I left my last corporate role I took some time out to develop my own interests and, when I returned from a year living in France, it felt like the right time for me to bring all my experiences together, gain coaching credentials, and to establish myself as an Executive Coach.

Who am I?

I love what I do and I’m a great believer in having a healthy mind and body, so in my free time I like to be active outdoors. Exercising in the fresh air is always a fabulous way for me to get the day started, or to unwind at the end of a busy day.

As well as running my own business, I love to travel to explore different countries and cultures. The many trips I’ve taken include spending 6 months travelling around Europe in a camper van, cycling for charities in the mountains of South Island New Zealand and across the Continental Divide in Costa Rica, trekking in Nepal, Ethiopia, Peru and Italy, motorcycling in Thailand, and scuba diving in Fiji and the Caribbean.
